Takao Artistry Warehouse

Takao Artistry Warehouse was the "Hifumi-tei" during the Japanese Rule Period. After Taiwan Restoration, the Nanbu Shipping Company was in the old building. Now, the building is run by Jocelyn Lin, who has planned the place to be a complex space of art and literature to give the historical old house a new life and fulfill the concept of idle space re-use. The space is mainly for artists, estheticians, and creative writers to hold artwork exhibitions, classes, lectures and gatherings. At present, Floor 1 is the main exhibition space; Floor 2 is the artistic tea house, the "2NDF Teahouse" and the classroom for teaching art and literature.
It's dedicated to promoting Taiwan Tea Culture and Taiwan's branded cultural and creative industry, such as the Sanhe Tile Kiln's creative merchandise, the Chang Yi Fang's Taiwan figured cloth creative merchandise, Taiwan's pottery artists' artwork, etc. At the site, a display of antiques, furniture, tea utensils, and the merchandise related to the space of art and literature. Also, onsite classic musical performances and lectures, art performances and exhibitions, art classes, literature appreciation and movie review activities are held here on a periodic basis.
