Agongdian Forest Park has been expanded since 2015 and it occupies approximately 9.3 ha. The intersection of Kung Cheng Road and Shui Ku Road was constructed during Phase 2 of the landscape improvement of Agongdian Reservoir. The scope of work is 3.2 ha. It was planned to build forest paths, ecological ponds, parking lots and kids’ rides and they were completed and commenced in 2016. The scope of work for Phase 2 of Agongdian Forest Park takes up 3.6 ha. It was completed and commenced in 2017. Besides the enhancement for the usage efficiency of butterfly garden, a sacred back garden was created, native Taiwanese plants were restored, and diverse honey plants for butterfly and edible grass for larvae were grown. Firefly restoration and establishment of a complete ecological chain were carried out to ensure balance and stability of the ecosystem of the habitat. Therefore, this area can be used for edutainment.
