Santaoshan Forest Recreation Area is on the Cinan Road, which is at the southwest area of Cishan District. It's a private amusement garden; at first, Mr. Chen Qiu-liang, who invested and built the park, named it as "Qiu-liang Shan." Mr. Chen Qui-liang enjoyed reading the book, "The Journey to the West," so he installed a lot of statues of the characters in the book "The Journey to the West"; also, Shuiliandong Cave (water curtain cave) and Mt. Huaguoshan lead visitors to the fairyland in the Journey to the West, a very interesting park.

Besides, above the Shuiliandong Cave, there're 3 giant canistel (egg fruit). Due to its unique style, the place is renowned as the name "Shantaoshan." In the park area, in addition to the attractive garden landscapes, such as a little bridge and water streams, there's are multi-functional recreation spaces, including the forest racing car, a BBQ area, a camping area, a small zoo, an orchid garden, a large performance space with a capacity of 2,000 people, an exhibition of old-time farm tools, etc. Take a trip to Santaoshan, you can find the owner's considerate design that leads you to the world of fairy tale, a place that is filled with happy surprises.
