In 1988, the area inside Lane 167, Wenhe 2nd Road, in front of the Oscar Movie Theater and near the intersection of Wufu 2nd Road and Renzhi Street, was selected as the location of President Department Store, the pioneer of “Shinkuchan Shopping District”.
