Chusaimen Power Plant

Kaoping Power Plant Zhumen Unit is a national Historic Sitedesignated by the Republic of China.It's situatedin Meinong Districtof Kaohsiung City. At 4km away along downstream from the confluence of the Laonong River and Zhuokou River. It's the 1st version of run-of-the-river the hydroelectricity power plant.It was called Zhuzimen Power Station or Chusaimen Power Plant. After the Taiwan Power Company established the Kaoping Power Plant, it became a subsidiary and the name was changed to Taiwan Power Company Kaoping Power Plant Zhumen Unit. The water resource is from the Laonong RiverIt was built during the Taiwan under Japanese Rule;from 1908 until now, it is 100 years old and remains operating. Located in the Xindian District of New Taipei City the Guishan Power Plan was built in the same year, but now, it has been designated as a historic construction and its operation had stopped.
Chusaimen Power Plant, due to its construction and interior decoration, its power generating unithas historic value; the Ministry of Interior, Republic of China designated the power plant as Taiwan's first "industrial Historic Site" in May, 1992 as the level-3 Historic Site; afterward, on October 28, 2003, it was announced to be the National Historic Site. The Taiwan Power Company that has jurisdiction over the Historic Site has also actively implemented industrial and cultural activities at the site.
