景點介紹
Mt. Caihong Big Buddha (Liugui Buddha) is near the Bulao Hot Spring. It was built by Mt. Caihong Religious Foundation from 2000. It took fifteen years and it was completed in December 2015. The admission is free.
A pair of Buddha’s hands with the same size of Buddha’s are crossed and laid on the ground at the entrance of the Buddha. It is said that a worker fell from the Buddha’s head during construction and his head hit the Buddha’s hands after falling about 16 meters. A huge sound like a bell was heard. After seeking medical attention, he was transferred to a large hospital’s emergency room. However, he miraculously recovered after treatment. A pair of huge Buddha’s hands was cast to remember this miracle with gratitude and wish for everyone’s well-being.
A total of 167 tons of copper was used for the Buddha, who closed his eyes and sat down. He’s 20 meters tall (about seven stories) and towered in the forest with dignity. He looked down at all living beings with peace and serene. The Chao Shan Ru Yi Large Stairs are in front of the Buddha. The imperial ramps carved with the stone sculpture of the Nine Dragons are available at the center between two stairs. Stone dragons and delicately-carved stone murals are visible on the stone pillars on both sides. A worship table is in front of the Buddha. Large copper censers and altars are placed on the table. They are traditional and gorgeous in their own unique way. Visitors can climb to the top of the stairs to meet the Buddha.
Visitors can view the Buddha from far away and close up, and can enter the body of Buddha! Visitors can see the steel structure that support the Buddha. A 6892 kg carved Burma jade in the basement is honored as the most valuable treasure of the mountain. The temple is behind the Buddha. The Diamond Buddhas for the 12 Chinese Zodiacs (12 yaksha generals) are worshipped in the winding corridor. They symbolize the 12 Chinese Zodiacs and they bless the health and well-being of all beings. Visitors can find their own Chinese Zodiac, burn incense sticks and pray to them. Prayers are available on the side for visitors to read when praying. A wishing waterfall is available in the park. People’s wishes are hidden in this pool with piled rocks.
