Daganshan Scenic Area

The coverage of the scenic park is large and can be divided into the Ruyi Park, the religious site, and the natural ecological area. In the Qing Dynasty, the area was known as the "Green Trees in Gangshan" and listed one of "The Best Eight Scenes in Fengshan." Also, due to its greenish scenery and the quiet atmosphere and spacious range, there are temples that give people peace of mind and satisfaction to their soul are everywhere on the mountain area; it has been recognized as "Taiwan's Foshan." The 200-year-old "Chaofengsi Temple" is the most famous among all. Afterwards, when the ROC government made a new list of "The 8 Best Scene in Kaohsiung," the "Chaofeng Evening Bells" was enlisted for its culture and humanity, while Daganshan was listed for its natural landscape.
Ruyi Park is well-facilitated with a kids' playground area, a landscape ecological pond, a pedestrian trail, etc. The annual "Dagangshan Longan Honey Culture Festival" held here is a popular tourist destination. And, Dagangshan's specialties, longan and honey, are the best sellers.
